Open Gardens
The Committee had been determined to keep the Garden Club activities up and running wherever possible whilst still adhering to the constraints of COVID-19. With this in mind it was agreed to open the Village Gardens but on a reduced scale and try to keep it very village centric.
To avoid congestion on the village green it was agreed we wouldn't charge entry but instead ask for donations to The Rosemary Foundation. The weather had been absolutely dreadful and we were fearing the worst but Sunday dawned 'bright and beautiful' and the village responded accordingly. Despite everything having been delayed by the very unkind April weather, the gardens were looking lovely and there were new ones to admire as well.
Generosity abounded with the ultimate surprise in finding that the amazing amount of £600.00 had been raised for The Rosemary Foundation. It certainly was a day to remember with the really outstanding feature being that people were meeting up again and chatting, just like old times really.
The Committee would like to thank everyone involved in making this a really memorable occasion.
